Body Odor

Natural Cures

Mild body odor is common and is considered socially acceptable. However, body odor becomes a problem if contact is avoided by other people because of the foul odor. Some natural cures that can assist in controlling body odor are:

Add a few drops of rose extract or rose water.
Add one teaspoon of alum.
Boil mint leaves in water, strain and add the resulting water to bath water.
Soak for fifteen minutes in bath water mixed with a few cups of tomato juice. Rinse with clean water and gently pat yourself dry.

Vinegar

Prepare a mixture of white vinegar and warm water with a ratio of one to four, respectively. Soak feet in this solution twice each day for 20 to 30 minutes. Continue this process until the infection completely disappears or until the irritation stops.

Baking Soda - An affordable, effective and natural treatment

After showering and toweling yourself dry, rub some baking soda on your armpits.
Mix baking soda with baby powder for a breezy scent.
Mix baking soda with cornstarch for an extremely dry feeling.

Herbal remedies

Consume tea made of sage leaves every day to lower the activity of sweat glands, to reduce sweating and to eventually reduce body odor.
Tea tree oil is an excellent deodorant. Mix two drops of tea tree oil with one ounce of water and apply.
Rosemary has antibacterial properties that aid in reducing body odor. Make a deodorant by mixing eight to ten drops of essential oil of rosemary in one ounce of water and apply to the odorous parts of the body.
