Symptoms
of Razor Burns
Symptoms of razor burn
are redness, irritated and chafed skin,
burning or tingling sensation on the
shaved area, sensitivity to cosmetic
products if applied on skin, and itchiness.
Natural Cures
Razor burns or
cuts are fairly common. Although they
are not serious in nature, they cause
pain and discomfort. Most cases of razor
burns can be treated by applying ice
or a soothing lotion onto the affected
area. Here are a few additional suggestions
that can help you treat razor burns
naturally:
Aloe Vera gel
Aloe Vera
gel is renowned for its healing and
soothing properties. Apply lotions that
contain Aloe Vera as an active ingredient
or simply break open an aloe leaf and
apply the oozing sap onto the affected
area for immediate relief.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar
has antibacterial, alkalizing, and soothing
properties. Apply a liberal amount of
apple cider vinegar onto the affected
areas. Leave it on for a few minutes
instead of rinsing it off immediately.

Crush
an aspirin tablet and mix it with
one cup of warm water until it completely
dissolves. Dip a cotton ball into
the solution and dab it on the razor
burns. This solution will soothe
and relieve the burning sensation.
Leave it on for a few minutes before
rinsing it off with more warm water. |

Mix in four
to five drops of lavender oil in
one half of a cup of witch hazel
(an astringent produced from the
leaves and bark of the North American
witch hazel shrub). Liberally apply
the solution onto the razor burns
with a clean cotton ball. Witch
hazel is an excellent antiseptic
that can prevent infection and lavender
oil helps to soothe and heal the
affected skin.
